Thrive AI Health
Thrive Global, founded in 2016 by Arriana Huffington, has secured $80M Series C funding focused on tools for behavioral change.
July 2024 they announced in Time the establishment of a new company with Sam Altman. Thrive AI Healthwill build a new personal health app focused on behavioral change (e.g. “go on a 10-minute walk with your child after you pick them up from school at 3:15 p.m”).
Thrive AI Health, as they are naming the company will be a hyper-personalized AI health coach. This coach will be trained on peer-reviewed science and follow Thrive’s behaviour change tricks (called Microsteps). It’ll tap into your medical data, daily habits, and preferences to give real-time, tailored nudges. These nudges will aim to whip your “big five” into shape: sleep, food, movement, stress management, and social connection.
- Funded by OpenAI Startup Fund and Thrive Global
- Mobile app (and also part of the existing Thrive enterprise apps)
- DeCarlos Love (ex-Google) will be Thrive AI Health’s CEO.
